The 3 F

Scrapper In Romania has a new challenge. There are almost 3 days and the submission is closed. So, here is the work I`ve created. It`s a new concept, framed fringed flowers (now I see the FFF!).

For this challenge the girls have chosen black and white with a little bit of turquoise. Oh... these colors are difficult!

Mi s-a parut destul de greu sa lucrez cu alb negru si un strop de turcoaz...
Ideea cu florile acestea inramate mi-a venit in timp ce lucram la un alt proiect si apoi a iesit si varianta aceasta.

I imagine this framed work on a narrow wall, from a minimalist apartment. I almost forgot to tell that the frame is from Ikea.

Wish me luck, I`d love to win one of the prizes from this challenge!

Multumesc fetelor ca se ocupa de Scrapper In Romania si ca ne dau ocazia sa interactionam si sa ne intrecem :)

Paper-art Video Music

I love Emilie Simon, I love her videos and music and there are weeks
since I`ve been thinking to share with you one of her videos.
Here you can see the video for the Rainbow song, there is a lot of paper animation.

Inna reminded me this idea with her post about the book Papercraft 2 - Design and Art with Paper.

I also recommend you to watch the video for Fleur de saison. This one has nothing to do with paper but the graphic and the story is so beautiful!

Enjoy,
Anca

Quilling sunflower

I`ll be short this time. Friday was my birthday (I`m 29 now). We arrived home this evening and I decided to post something.

Last week I made some cards with sunflowers and I also tried this framed quilling work. I like the way it looks.

Later I`ve used a fringed center and I think it looks even more beautiful.

What do you think? Please click on the pictures if you want them to appear more clear.

An album with a little bit of quilling

Hello dear followers and visitors! It`s strange how much I miss posting and blogging, I spent a lot of time with my family these days, that`s why I haven`t posted anything.
But I have so many things to share with you!
This summer I`ve decided to take a vacation so I am jobless :). I used my time for all kind of projects, new things, old things and of course quilling.
Here is the first album I made, with hard covers. I used it to present a few handmade wedding invitations.

Maybe you know these flowers, I made some this spring, you can see a little bouquet here.

I started working on this album but I haven`t studied enough so I had some problems when I wanted to bind the pages. All together, considering it my first album I`m satisfied.

Curious to know what you think,
Anca

I try to find a new look for my blog,
so it might look different these days :)

A classic quilling card

A week ago I had to make some cards for the store where I sell them. After trying quilling with all kind of new things (scrapbooking paper, stamps, eye powder and versa mark) I decided to make something classy.

Classic quilling always looks good. Some simple shapes and fringed centers, sunny colors and I feel as if I`ve found the perfect recipe. I also love natural fabrics, like this hemp twine which looks like a ribbon (I bought it this way.

I haven`t found my style in quilling yet, but I`m in the experimental phase, some things keep repeating and I feel good when I see a red line going through my work. Quilling has been in my life for 1 year, I believe there is a lot of time to find my style. I have patience.

Thank you for passing by and reading my thoughts,
Anca

Quilling and feathers

Quilling and feathers?! Why not! I found these feathers at a local store, in many colors, that`s what I`ve chosen.

First I used them to make a design for a wedding invitation.

Seaching for new combination I made this card. It is sold now. The lady from the store called and told me how appreciated it was.

I`ll enter my wedding invitation design to the following challenges:
moving along with the times where the theme is FANTASY and I believe my design with feathers and bling would fit for a fantasy wedding, and to
craft us crazy where ANYTHING GOES

I see you are quite busy (with projects or with the summer:), hope you all have a wonderful time!

P.S. let me know if you try the feather and quilling combination

Framed quilling for Meda

I just love this combination of gold and full purple. Meda gave me the paper and I made this framed quilling work. While making the photos and admiring it I thought it would be a perfect gift for her and I also imagined the title for this post.

I used the clear versamarkt pad for stamping, and the husking technique combined with little from the royal flower.

Now I want to share with you my thoughts and feelings about friendship. Friendship is so beautiful, it seems to me like a gift that comes from nowhere. All I can say is Thank You (thank you to friends, to God, thank you for the idea of friendship).

Have a great weekend,
Anca

A rainy weekend in Budapest

We had a rainy weekend in Budapest and because I suspected it would be so I searched on the interenet for some museums. I love the collections and museums. Because I`m in the creative era of my life I thought the Applied Art Museum would fit perfect. And so it was. We discovered a gorgeous white room.

And after, a wonderful collection of all kind of useful objects: books, furniture, vases and plates, jewels, boxes, watches...

And beyond the collection a story that concerns us all. The story of the museum.
Because the industrialization was too strong and considered dangerous for art, around 1850 it was decided to create a museum where beautiful useful objects be exposed. There were people who had to search and buy the most beautiful creations. So craftsmen from different guilds were invited to create as beautiful as they can and fairs were held so that they can sel their work.

I enjoyed this story and I was impressed.
Here is the entrance, the ceiling and the railings, everything breathes o complex creation (I think `art` is a word too hard).

I have some quilling too, but I think it`s enough for one post.
Hugs,
Anca
